Location
Located one block south of the theatres, the garage entrance is off of 7th St between Congress Ave and Colorado St. It’s the garage behind Citizen M Hotel, right across from Perry’s Steakhouse. You’ll see 600 CONGRESS PARKING GARAGE in big letters above the entrance.
Cost
You must purchase an exit voucher from the Paramount Box Office or bar before your show to receive the Paramount parking rate. Most shows are $10, though some family shows and films are $5 thanks to our friends at ABM.
Hours
Parking for Paramount shows is valid 5pm–3am Monday–Friday, and all day Saturday-Sunday. Full parking rates apply outside of these hours. Note: Not valid during SXSW and other special events.
Ticket + Voucher Needed
Upon entry, take a ticket from the machine. Reminder: you must purchase a parking exit voucher at the Paramount Box Office or bar before your show. When exiting, insert your parking ticket before scanning your Paramount parking voucher.

Transit to and from the Paramount is easy! Plus, it costs less than covered parking and saves time. Nearby transit stops include 8th/Congress, 8th/Lavaca, 8th/Guadalupe, 7th/Colorado or take MetroRail to the Downtown Station.

There are many ways to roll to the Paramount and State Theatres on two wheels. Ride your own bike and park at one of the many bike racks on the block in front of our theatres. Austin is also full of rentable bikes and scooters that can connect you to and from the train station or bus stop, from Lime, Bird, Spin, Austin BCycle, and more. Download their apps and take a ride. Please ride safely, and yield to pedestrians to help keep our downtown community a pleasant place for all modes of transportation.
You’ll see pedicabs throughout downtown and drivers are fully licensed by the City of Austin. Rates vary – be sure to ask your driver about the price per rider or per trip before hopping in.

Parking Meters – Parking meters in the downtown area (IH-35 to Lamar Boulevard, and Lady Bird Lake to 10th Street) operate Monday through Wednesday, 8am to 6pm, Thursday and Friday, 8am to 12 Midnight, and Saturday, 11am to 12 Midnight.
Parking Meter Time Limits – Always check posted signs and pay stations for enforcement information as enforcement times outside the downtown area may vary from location to location. During the day, the time limits for these spaces vary. Common maximum parking time limits are no more than 3 hours. Each meter is labeled with its maximum parking time limit as well as the hours and days that parking meter time limits are in effect.
Parking Meter Fees – Always check posted signs and pay stations for enforcement information as enforcement times outside the downtown area may vary from location to location. Most parking meters in downtown Austin accept credit cards and all meters accept nickels, dimes and quarters.
Parking Meter Fee Exemptions (Free Parking) – Parking meters are not enforced on the following city holidays:
January 1 (New Year’s Day)
July 4 (Independence Day)
First Monday in September (Labor Day)
Last Thursday in November (Thanksgiving)
December 25 (Christmas Day)
Garage parking rates, hours and allowed length of stay vary by location. Some garages prohibit overnight parking – be sure to note each garage’s policy.
