Ava Smartt is a native Texan and whose incisive comedy tinkers with subjects on the border of right and wrong. She uses her small town charm to guide the audience into a space where they feel comfortable to tip-toe over the blurred lines of what is and isn’t acceptable to laugh at.

Ava’s current passion project is her monthly show Perverts, which combines the campiness and filth of John Waters movies with the whimsical silliness and ill-advised danger of Jackass.

When she’s not telling jokes you can find Ava at your local record store digging around, building Lego while listening to the records she just bought, or tending to her every growing family of cacti.
